Our Teams

The Black Gold family is comprised of teams of all ages and skill levels. In the spring we offer our skills and auditions to evaluate skaters for our upcoming season. Our dedicated coaching staff, work together to create strong teams at all levels. Our season officially starts for most teams in August with some teams bringing in choreographers to begin building their program. The club offers skill development during the season with sessions and camps for skaters at all levels.

Learn to Synchro

Head Coach: Megan Lye

CSSC will be hosting a Learn to Synchro 'team'. This is for skaters who are trying out synchro for the first or second time. The learn to synchro program will only run until mid-December. It is for skaters approximately age 6-9 and in level CanSkate 3-Star 1. Please still reach out to us if your skater is interested but doesn't fit within this age range or skill level as it might still be a fit. 

Star 4 (Elementary) 

Head Coach: Amy Schendel

We are excited to have this team continue in the 2026-27 season! The skaters on this team typically range from 9-12 years old.

*This category is called Star 4, but skaters are level Star 1-4.

Star 6 (Juvenile)

Head Coach: Rachel Demers

We are thrilled to have this team continue in the 2026-27 season! The skaters on this team typically range from 10-14 years of age and with StarSkate 3-4.

Star 8 (Pre-Novice)

Head Coach: Megan Lye

We are so excited the welcome back our Star 8 team for the 2026-27 season! The skaters on this team typically range from 15-18 years of age.

Gold (Intermediate)

Head Coach: Jodie Guenther

We are thrilled to have our Gold team back on the ice this season! Skaters on this team typically range between 15-19 years of age.

Adult 2

Head Coach: Amy Schendel

The Adult 2 team will be returning for the 2026-2027 season! This team has welcomed new and old faces, some Moms, some young professionals, all whom of which have happy hearts when they practice once a week.

Adult 1

Head Coach: Jodie Guenther

We are thrilled to have this team continue! Many of these skaters have skated together for several years but new skaters 18 years of age and over are welcome!

Senior Elite 12

Open

Skaters are 15 years of age and over.  

Novice

The skaters on this team typically have StarSkate 6 and range in age from 12-15 years.
